SHEFFIELD GREEN PARTY SHAME

Duly selected by Sheffield Green Party with 56% of the vote on 26th September 2022, long serving activist and local councillor Alison Teal was issued with a “No Fault Suspension” (NFS) in less than a month after being selected. The outcome of her candidature has therefore never been the object of any publicity, press release or any social media campaign. To this day, Alison remains in this no-woman’s land where many of our members (50 in 12 months, or one per week, according to internal official figures) have been parked to save the leadership from any potential embarassment around their support for the party’s dominant gender ideology and their hyperactive transactivists allies. The GPEW has no approved definition of transphobia. Alison vigorously refutes all allegations of transphobia and is fighting her corner as best she can. But the whole purpose of the NFS imposed on her means that she is denied access to party business whilst being suspended. It is very unlikely therefore that she will be re-instated in time to launch her campaign as the GPEW’s candidate for Sheffield Central for the next General Election. What has happened to Alison Teal should ring alarm bells. Our courageous ” Save Our Trees” Sheffield campaigner remains an inspiration to thousands of environmental activists outside of the GPEW and very much so too amongst the influencial 6000 strong Green Party Women’s Special Interest Group.

The Green Light will post any new development that comes our way on this issue.
