March 6th 2024 will be remembered as the day when Post-Modern inspired Identity Politics and its transgender extremists were finallly confronted with reality and what harm they have caused by following their gender ideology cult rather than the science.
Published 10 days ago, revellations about the lack of an evidence-based approach from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health ( WPATH) have provoked deep concerns in the press and the medical world.
Leaks of internal discussions demonstrate that WPATH is neither scientific, nor following ethical medical care. The file reveals that in promoting hormonal and surgical experiments on minors and vulnerable adults in particular, it is more consumer-driven and pseudoscientific, and “engaged in political activism rather than science”.
It is to be noted that whilst the NHS may still implements WPATH’s ” Standard of Care ” for the transgender community, it has moved away from the Tavistock and Mermaid “Gender Affirmative” approach since the publication of the Cass Report.
Three days ago, it finally decided to cease prescribing puberty blockers to children under 16 years of age.
Following the outcome of transitioning Keria Bell court case Appeal and always a strong advocate of the use of puberty blockers, the LGBTIQA+ Greens actually doubled up on their rethoric . They launched a petition with an an appeal “to fully consider the differences in the working practices of The Tavistock in comparison with health care providers who follow common international guidance, such as WPATH, in terms of their treatment of trans youth”.
So, what now ? This is of such importance for the reputation of the Green Party that The Green Light decided to publish their latest statement dated 14th March in full here :
” The LGBTIQA+ Greens are disappointed to see that the NHS will no longer be prescribing puberty blockers for trans youth.
Gender affirming healthcare is crucial for all trans people regardless of their age. In the case of young people, puberty blockers allow them time to understand their gender identity and give them space to comfortably transition into their gender as an adult. If a young person decides to stop using them, the effects are known to be physically reversible. Indeed, the British Medical Association have shown their support for the use of puberty blockers ( not since 3 days ago ! ) and have previously called for trans people to have access to healthcare matching their gender identity, as well as under 18s to have access to such treatment “in line with existing principles of consent”.
The government has welcomed this as a “landmark decision” which is “based on evidence”. In truth this decision is yet another failure of the government to stand up for one of the most oppressed minorities in the country. In reference to evidence around puberty blockers, they have been shown in studies to be positive for trans people; a 2022 study from renowned medical journal, The Lancet, showed that 98% of people using blockers chose to continue using them. They can make all the difference to a young trans person experiencing gender dysphoria.
The Green Party has proudly stood with transgender people. We believe that the NHS should better recognize the increasing need for Gender Identity Clinics and increase service provision, across the country.
We oppose the decision made by the NHS to stop prescribing gender affirming healthcare to young transgender people. In the UK, trans rights are under constant attack; we stand in solidarity with those facing transphobia in their daily lives and those unable to access gender affirming healthcare.
Finally, we send our solidarity to all young people who will read this news and feel as though they have been restricted from accessing gender affirming healthcare. We will continue to stand with and fight for the rights of young trans people to live their lives authentically”.
