J.K Rowlings retweet women are “people who menstruate”

A list of GPEW’s spokespeople is announced. Dr Ali is re-appointed as spokesperson for Policing and Domestic Safety by a sub-committee of GPEX.

Baroness Jenny Jones emails the Executive in support of Dr Ali, urging the Executive to “start the healing with the Green Party and expel the hate that has festered”.

July
Beatrix Campbell, feminist, writer and member of the Green Party Women resigns. In her letter of resignation, she forensically and prophetically unravels how the trans cult operates within the party.
“Scott Cato clearly wants to heal a party suffering from septic shock, but her benign injunction is too late: playing nicely assumes that the players want to play, that they share an interest in the game, that they recognise politics as a context for necessary, peaceful, creative conflict – all of which is extinguished by ‘there is no debate‘.
To understand this impasse, we need to go beyond the etiquette and structures of the Green Party to its sexual politics: it is liberal rather than radical and feminist, all about choice – choosing to sell sex, choosing to change sex. No doubt liberal goodwill to all men also motivated the party’s endorsement, without research, consultation or debate, of extreme trans dogma. Of course, people wanted to be nice and to support trans rights.
But liberalism became host to tyranny and misogyny. When damned feminists and gays, and people whose job it is to think, debated sex (bodies) and gender (cultures), and power; about prostitution, sex trafficking child sexual abuse, they met a wall of denial and harassment; when they queried cultishness and the injunction ‘there is no debate’, they were maligned as TERF (trans-exclusionary radical feminists), disciplined and even sued.
Deputy leader Amelia Womack (2014 to 2022) reaffirms her commitment to party’s policy on trans rights and exclaims : ”It’s just so frustrating to see people being harmed by a handful of people !“.
Extinction Rebellion echoes Green Party policy on Trans rights as they declare: ” We do not believe that the existence of trans people, or the clearly documented oppression and abuse they experience is a topic that should be up for debate”.
George Flyods is killed. The Black Lives Matters movement explodes in the US. Calls for defunding the police are heard in the UK, including from the Young Greens.

In her Open letter, she confirms Beatrix Campbell’s description of the impact on the party of the “extreme trans dogma” and warns : “Unfortunately, it’s just one aspect of a much wider and deeper crisis in the party”.

Elected co-chair Emma Bateman who holds the view that sex is biological and distinct from gender is the object of a complaint and slapped with a “No Fault Suspension” by the Green Party Regional Council (GPRC) within a week.
Following a relentless campaign against her over two years, Emma launched a crowdfunding campaign to help fund her claim of discrimination against the Green party under the Equality Act.

Transactual UK publlishes ” What is transphobia ?”
This document will inspire motion D07 submitted at the Spring 2022 Conference by members of the LGBTIQA+ Greens and the Young Greens. It was not debated, but its content was inserted as part of the Code of Conduct by the transactivits majority serving on GPRC .
Transactual’s definition of transphobia will appear as part of the Code of Conduct in late 2023 amended by GPRC and is added to a list of ” Guides” attached to a ” Framework of Ethics and Responsibilities” together with the guide to Anti-semitism and Islamophobia.
As reported in the Green Light, armed with their new disciplinary tool, use of the ” Guide to transphobia ” by transactivists has triggered an accelerated purge of heretics to the cult. Young Greens and transactivists are actively encouraged to act as vigilantes on external and internal social media platforms by more experienced zealots on GPRC and offered assistance in submitting formal complaints.
A mere request by any member to define gender or mention sex based rights, at online or face-to-face meetings will from now on be shut down by zealots in charge of proceedings on the ground that such requests or mentions are a breach in the Code of Conduct.
The trans identinarian’s capture of the party’s internal business affairs and its ideological narrative would appear to be near completion.

August
Popular member and feminist Andrea Carrey resigns from the Green Party Regional Council. In an email to colleagues sent on 11th March, she states : “… leaders of the party continue to fuel division and incite toxicity within the party, making it an unhealthy place for any member who dares support women’s rights as set out in the UN Convention”.
Molly Scott Cato and Matt Browne publish an article in Green World entitled “Living up to the core values of the party” raising issues around selecting spokespeople.
As reported during the proceedings of the Shahrar Ali v The GPEW civil court hearing in Feburary 2024, two complaints against Dr Ali, one from Matt Browne and the other from a LGBTIQA+ Green transactivist and national organiser based in the North West are submitted. They both call for the removal of Dr Ali as spokesperson.
The Scottish Greens disaffiliate from the GPEW.
September
Tamsin Omond, Amelia Womack’s running mate for the leadership tweeted: “ Our trans and non-binary siblings are under threat in our party and our processes are failing to protect them”.
As per the recommendation of the Verita report, the Executive chaired by Liz Reason appoints Diverse Matters consultants to carry out an Equality, Diversity and inclusivity audit
Stonewall launches its Diversity Champions programme.
As revealed in The Green Light, the Green Party’s connection with Stonewall dates back to 2016 and remains an affiliated member. A number of motions calling for disaffiliation have failed to be debated.
