Since its publication on 10th of April, the reaction to the Cass Review from Greens in the UK has so far been shamefully twofold: denial by prominent members and lack of a considered official response.
Confronted with medical evidence from the biggest survey ever conducted into the theory and practice of Gender Identity Clinics for young people by paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass, members of the dominant trans faction in the Green Party were quick to come out with allegations of ‘weak evidence” and with their own list of alternative sources.
Notable amongst those were members of the London Federation and the Greater London Assembly member Caroline Russell, London mayoral candidate Zoe Garbett and Finn White, Young Greens Officer for the under 18s. No doubt, there will have been many more social media messages and comments.
On 20th April, LGBTIQA+ Greens trans activist and deputy leader Zack Polanski posted this somewhat ambiguous tweet: “’This review is being weaponised by people who revel in spreading disinformation and myths about health care for trans young people.’
When asked five times on the Today Radio 4 programme on 22nd April whether he accepted Cass’s finding, Patrick Harvie, Polanski’s mentor and co-leader of the Scottish Greens, simply refused to answer.
Meanwhile, other trans gender ideologues from the Labour Party, such as MPs Dawn Butler, Ben Bradshaw and Lloyd Russell-Moyle were busy promoting the idea that Dr Cass had deliberately ignored other sources of medical evidence. Such vile allegations were soundly and swiftly refuted by Dr Cass as published on the BBC.
As a result of her meeting in person with Dr Cass and with Stonewall’s CEO, Dawn Butler finally admitted she had been misled by Stonewall’s CEO, The Baroness Hunt of Bethnal Green and apologised for lying to Parliament.
No such apology from anyone from the Green Party can be found. Because of their long-standing backing of Tavistock and Stonewall’s ‘gender affirming’ approach to gender questioning children, the prescribing of puberty blockers and hormone treatment, it does not appear that anyone from the leadership Team, the Executive or the Regional Council has any intention of backing down. They appear to have chosen to remain silent.
Even more astounding and damaging for a Party which prides itself to “always going with the science “ and the evidence is the total absence of any official response to the Review findings and Dr Cass 10 recommendations for the future of the NHS Gender Identity Services for children.
This is because the power that our transgender identinarians have achieved with their capture of the party’s narrative and governance is grounded in the belief that biological sex does not exists, and that therefore ” Trans Men are Men, Trans Women are Women and non-binary identities exist and are valid “. whilst the number of trans children must keep on growing.
Ultimately their control of the Green Party has never been about the welfare of children with gender identity issues. Their identinarian mission is to save a group that they have decided is ‘most vulnerable’ group in society and thus, humanity. The ideological battle they have been engaged in with their dystopian view of a socially constructed world is about creating more and more divisions along group ” identities ” and thus gain control. It is about “them” and it is about them and “us”.
As cult follower Jonathan Bartley, standing in for his former co-leader and trans extremist Sian Berry as her shield famously declared at the Shahrar Ali v GPEW court hearing last August, it is about ‘good people’ against “’bad people’.
As evidenced in a previous Green Light post, Tavistock and Stonewall’s gender affirmative approach to gender questioning children, along with the NHS approved prescription of puberty blockers and hormone treatment which the Cass Review has found to have been based on ‘weak evidence’ started with LGBTIQA+ Greens’ motions to Conferences as far back as 2016.
It is this same ideology which has driven extensive organisational changes and behaviours within the Green Party. Over the years, the relentless push for the implementation of Stonewall ‘s policies and Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion training has not only created a large number of career positions and key roles for opportunists, but it has also triggered a deeply divisive and corrosive purging of non-believers.
Local party volunteers – still waiting for their capitation fees retained by HQ to meet legal costs – will have heard of the Cass Review by now. They will no doubt also have grasped the enormity of the NHS medical and institutional scandal which may have harmed children and been horrified to find how deeply complicit our party has been in this scandal.
How many of the 9,000 children who went through the NHS Gender Identity Clinics may have been damaged for life ? We just do not know. There is the second scandal looming as the follow up data from 6 of the 7 gender identity clinics has been deliberately withheld from Dr Cass’s research team. Such data may actually never existed or it may have been destroyed. We may therefore never know what happened to those thousands of children, most of whom, as suggested in the Cass Review, may actually have simply been gay.
Members of the Green Light and visitors hope that, as the tide of identity politics is taking a sharp turn, the case to disaffiliate from Stonewall must now be irrefutable. There may also is a need to urgently review all the Party’s Stonewall inspired policies and put an end to the presecution of “gender critical” members.
